Teachers registered under Uganda National Teachers’ Union (UNATU) in Rubanda district have ignited the campaign seeking funds worth 60M for purchasing land to establish a branch office in the district.
This was during the World Teachers Day commemoration today in Rubanda district.
The Member of Parliament for Rubanda West Constituency Hon Moses Kamuntu has appreciated the UNATU leadership of Rubanda district for being visionary and steadfast in planning for teachers’ welfare and needs as well as shaping students into useful citizens in the country pledging support always.
In his message delivered by team Kamuntu today at the World Teachers Day Commemoration in Rubanda District, he thanked the teachers for the hard work put in to transform children and communities into useful human beings.
Hon Kamuntu contributed 2M towards the purchase of land for the construction of UNATU offices Rubanda Branch.
The State Minister for Finance & Rubanda East member of Parliament Hon Henry Musasizi who was represented by the district LCV Chairperson, Mr.Kasyaba Stephen Ampeire, has contributed 5 Million towards the purchase of Land to accommodate UNATU offices in Rubanda district.
All teachers have supported this decision and this will help them to have their own office in the near future.
