Turn your mobile phone into a Wi-Fi Hotspot.

PARROTS UG | TECH DESK: Are you in the area where Wi-Fi is unheard of but you really need to get to the internet?
If u have a cell phone at hand, you’re not very far from the solution. You can make your phone to show as a Wi-Fi network that other devices such as computers, tablets, and other phones can join and be able to access the internet.

Check the steps you can follow to turn your phone into a Wi-Fi Hotspot
From your phone, tap on settings.
Then mobile Hotspot and tethering
Tab on the mobile hotspot to turn it on.
Reset the name of your network and the password or you can choose to go by the default ones.

Connecting a device to your Wi-Fi hotspot.

Scroll from top downwards on the screen of the phone you are using for hotspot.
Tap on hotspot icon to make it active.

Thenon the device that you want to connect, tap on Wi-Fi icon.                    Select the name of your phones network.      • Enterpassword and connect.
