Tragedy struck this morning in Omukyaapa Saanga as two young footballers lost their lives in a fatal car crash. The incident involved a Toyota Spacio with registration number UBC 554D, which veered off the road, leading to the untimely demise of the two occupants.
The victims have been identified as Agaba Sahir, also known as Sonko, and Kirabira Asuman, known as Kibazo, both from Mbarara. Sahir and Asuman were not only passionate footballers but also active members of their community. Asuman was employed at AMKA Real Estates in Mbarara, while Sahir was a promising talent on the football field and a third year student at Bishop Stuart University offering bachelors of social work and social administration.

It has been revealed that the duo were old students of Muntuyera High School and were on their way to Kampala for the Kitunga league matches, highlighting their dedication to the sport. The loss of these young lives has sent shockwaves through the community, with friends, family, and teammates mourning the tragic accident.

Investigations are currently ongoing to determine the cause of the crash, as authorities work to piece together the events leading up to the unfortunate incident.
