Traders occupying the magnificent Haruna Shopping Mall in Ntinda owned by City Businessman Hajji Haruna Ssentongo are smiling under their armpits after he waived 6 months of renting fee.
Hajji Haruna said the decision to waive 6months worth of rental areas for his Ntinda tenants was reached after efforts to get them pay became futile because of the harsh environment they are currently operating in.
The said Mall accommodates a number of businesses and merchandise shops including the recent in news Diamond Trust Bank (DTB), Exotic Hair Saloon, High Venue Closet to mention but a few.
Its recalled that most of the businesses were lockdown in March this year due to the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic.
This has affected several operators who have even after the easing of the lockdown failed to clear rent arrears.
Some generous Landlords spared their tenants from paying arrears and Haruna has so far joined the nest of the Kindhearted landlords in Kampala.
