During the unveiling ceremony, UBL pledged a significant contribution of UGX 100 million to support the event. The company also announced that its brands, Pilsner Lager and Uganda Waragi (Lemon & Ginger) will be provided at the Expo.

Lilly Ajarova the Chief Executive Officer UTB revealed that the partnership agreement between Uganda Tourism Board and Uganda Breweries Limited to support tourism promotion was also signed.

The agreement marks a long-term partnership not only for the Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo but also in promoting destination Uganda with a brand that is deeply rooted in the spirit that binds us.

This year’s edition of the expo will be held under the theme “Responsible Tourism” from 23rd to 25th May 2024 at Speke Resort Convention Center Munyonyo.

The UTB and UBL partnership has come in just days after Uganda Tourism Board signed another partnership agreement with Emirates Airlines on Friday last week in a collaboration aimed at promoting destination Uganda’s diverse tourism offerings, including gorilla trekking, white-water rafting, and exploring cultural landmarks, to a global audience.

Both partnerships mark significant steps in Uganda’s efforts to attract more visitors and showcase its rich cultural heritage, breathtaking landscapes, and diverse wildlife experiences.

Ajarova added that the partnership will play a crucial role in driving tourism growth and create opportunities for economic development in the country.
