A 32-year-old woman has collapsed dead in Kizinda Ishaka, greater Bushenyi police spokesperson ASP Martial Tumusiime has said
According to Tumusiime, the incident happened in Kizinda town council in Ishaka – Bushenyi municipality at around 1300/c on Saturday.
He identified the deceased as Nankunda Penelope, 32, a clearing agent at Mutukula boarder and a resident of Muhanga in Muhanga town council Rukiga district.
It is alleged that the deceased who was travelling to Muhanga decided to stop over at Kizinda to meet her friend a one Allen Kyampaire, a manager at Vision club World Kizinda. She allegedly got out of the taxi gotten out of the taxi at kizinda and started making a phone call to her friend when she suddenly collapsed dead.
Preliminary reports shows that the deceased had been sick for some time and she was on treatment for Tuberculosis (T.B) and that she was going to the village for thorough medical care but decided to first check on her friend before proceeding to Muhanga
The scene was visited by a team of Homicide detectives commanded by D/AIP NAMBUYA on UP 7662 to ascertain the situation.
A case of sudden death has been registered at Kizinda police station vide SD red 08/30/7/2022.
The deceased body was conveyed to KIU mortuary pending postmortem and investigations are ongoing
