Eleven revellers arrested at Ewa Nico Note Magombe Bar in Namungoona a Kampala suburb in a security Led operation, Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson, SSP Patrick Onyango has confirmed.
“Police at Old Kampala have carried out an intelligence led operations in Namungoona and arrested eleven suspects and recovered a toy pistol,” SSP Onyango
The operation was conducted today at Namungona II zone after police received information that someone was seen with a gun in a bar.
According to Onyango, police dispatched a team of their officers to follow up the information leading to a recovery of the black plastic toy gun, mairungi and a bag of fresh opium.
Eleven suspects were arrested including; Kalule Jordan, Ntwatwa Muzafaru Namiraku Patrick, Kalemera John, Kibaatu constant and Nicolas Kavuma
Others are Sentongo Fredrick, Mukasa Paul, Mugume Emmanuel, Sengonzi Isaac and Namagga Azida
They are currently being detained at Old Kampala Police division on charge of unlawful possession of a toy gun, knife and opium.
