Territorial police in Kawempe yesterday arrested Seventeen suspects and members of a gang group called, Kasilo Boys from Jinja Karoli, that has been terrorising the area robbing people of their properties.
According to the Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson ASP Luke Owoyesigyire, the gang was arrested during the operation to clean the city of the thugs.
Owoyesigyire says that the gang uses a Taxi to deploy its members at different destinations for their motives.
“Upon their arrest, they were found bound a tax Toyota hiace UBK 813F,” he said.
It is alleged that the group uses the vehicle to deploy their members with a motive of robbing from locals and then pick them up after their robbery missions.
Owoyesigyire added that police received a tip off from concerned locals, the vehicle was intercepted and all17 suspects (identity not disclosed) were arrested.
