It’s no rumor that the longest-reigning British monarch has come to an end. The queen’s 70 years of service to England and the world at large have left a huge print in history.

She not only was the queen of England but also the head of the Commonwealth realms which includes countries that were once under British colonial rule.

Under her rule, each of these countries received their independence. Countries under the Commonwealth realms include; Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Jamaica, The Bahamas, Grenada, Papua, New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Tuvalu, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines. Belize, Antigua and Barbuda, St Kitts and Nevis, Pakistan, South Africa, Ceylon, Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Tanganyika (present day Tanzania), Trinidad and Tobago, Uganda, Kenya, Malawi, Malta, The Gambia, Guyana, Barbados, Mauritius and Fiji.
It is only after that gesture of freedom by Britain; led by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the queen of England then, that all other colonial rulers let go of their colonies; letting them gain independence.
Because of her heavy impact in the world, leaders across the globe mourn her passing.

“Queen Elizabeth II was the rock on which modern Britain was built. Our country has grown and flourished under her reign. Britain is the great country it is today because of her,” said Liz Truss, the UK Prime Minister.

Boris Johnson, the former UK Prime Minister said, “This is our country’s saddest day. In the hearts of every one of us there is an ache at the passing of our Queen, a deep and personal sense of loss – far more intense, perhaps, than we expected.”

David Cameron, a former Prime Minister of the UK said, “There can simply be no finer example of dignified public duty and unstinting service.”

Theresa May, a member of parliament of the UK said, “Her Majesty devoted herself unreservedly to a life of service. She was respected and admired not only by her own people but far beyond our family of nations.”

Another former Prime Minister of the UK, Tony Blair said, “She has been an enduring presence of strength and stability.”

Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky through a tweet extended his sincere condolences to the royal family, the entire United Kingdom and the Commonwealth.

The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, tweeted and said, “Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II will be remembered as a stalwart of our times. She provided inspiring leadership to her nation and people. She personified dignity and decency in public life.”

French president, Emmanuel Macron tweeted and said, “Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II embodied the British nation’s continuity and unity for over 70 years. I remember her as a friend of France, a kind-hearted queen who has left a lasting impression on her country and her century.”

Queen died on Thursday September 8th at Buckingham palace.
