The Archbishop of Mbarara Archdiocese Rt Rev. Beinomugisha Lambert has implored christians of Mbarara Archdiocese to always give thanks to the Lord for all the achievements and a gift of life.
Bishop Lambert said this while celebrating Mass today as Christians celebrated beginning of year Mass at the Nyamitanga cathedral.
Bishop Lambert has requested believers to always plan for future prospects with hope and thank God for the past years and achievements.
Bishop Lambert has also told the gathering to learn how to pray for themselves to live a life free from evil deeds and envy for their neighbors and workmates noting that this is the only way to reduce cases of domestic violence in homes and country at large.
During the same Mass, Bishop Lambert praised Pope Benedict XVI for his great contribution towards the development of the Catholic church. Pope Benedict XVI passed on yesterday in Rome.
Bishop Lambert passed on his new year message and pledged to keep praying for Christians and wished them the very best 2023 full of favors and good health.
Relatedly,the Bishop of Ankole diocese Rt Rev Dr Fred Sheldon Mwesigwa has challenged Christians to work hard in the new year 2023.
He said this during his New Year sermon at St James Cathedral Ruharo.
He appealed to them to have strong faith in Jesus Christ and not to hold on to the bad moments that happened to them in 2022.
