With displays of skill and teamwork unmatched by their competitors, this relatively unknown team has risen to glory under the leadership of Owen Kikomeko Ssalongo, their team captain.

Going into the season, many had counted the Chwezi FC out, given the fierce competition on display from previous champions Misamiati. However, in a stunning reversal of fortunes, Misamiati had a dismal season, finishing at the bottom of the table. Meanwhile, the heroes of the season, the Chwezi FC, proved themselves to be an unstoppable team, clinching the title of champions with ease.

On the same day, in the going Kamomo tournament second edition, the Bulls 96 emerged victorious, captained by Patson aka Duke. This was one of the many leagues played by Mbarara High School old students.

Some of the standout players of the season included Haruna Lukwago of Chwezi FC, who wowed everyone with his skill and talent. He was deservedly named the best player of the season. Tito Wabende of Matu FC,proved himself to be an excellent midfielder, while Masiga of the same team was named the best defender. Emerson, meanwhile, proved himself to be an incredibly talented striker, netting 16 goals for Matu FC and earning himself the title of top scorer of the season.

Overall, the Chwezi FC was a truly exciting display of some of the best soccer talent around, having fielded the best player Haruna Rukwago while Matu FC fielded the best goalkeeper in the league, Norman Rukaari.

Kabigumira Jacob, the Mbarara High School (Chaapa League) chairperson, congratulated Chwezi FC for fighting hard and showing maximum discipline, which saw them become champions. He encouraged all Mbarara High School old boys to join the rest and fight non-communicable diseases through exercise while building social capital and promoting sports in the country.

Rev Ahimbisibwe Nathan), Dingiswayo, X-convicts, and Msamiati that became the last on the table.
