MBARARA
The hand of death has struck Mbarara Catholic Archdiocese, robbing its serving Priest, Rev. Fr. Agapitus Mubangizi.
According to Fr. Mukasa Balikudembe, the Mbarara Archdiocese Chancellor, Fr.Agapitus died at Rugarama hospital, Kabale district on Monday where he has been hospitalized.
Fr. Agapitus was born in Kabale diocese, but he has spent the majority of his priesthood carrying out pastoral work in Mbarara Diocese where he served in different parishes like at Nyakishojwa Catholic Parish in Mitooma district among others. The cause of the priest’s death remains confidential.
Fr. Balikudembe said that burial ceremony for Fr. Mubangizi will be tomorrow, Tuesday 15th April, 2025, at Nyamitanga Cathedral Mbarara starting with Funeral Mass at 12pm.
