Cameronian journalist Tim Finnian Jua, and publisher of The Lifetime Newspaper, has died at 55.
Finnian passed away Monday the Bamenda Regional Hospital in Cameroon’s North West Region, following admission into the hospital Intensive Care Unit.
“Finnian died this Monday, August 17, after his health reportedly deteriorated,” local media reported.
According to reports, Finnian had been admitted to the Bamenda Regional Hospital since Wednesday, August 12, after reportedly driving himself to the hospital while ill.
His condition worsened on Monday morning, when he was placed on life supporting (oxygen) machine to stabilize him, but he later died.
A native of Njinikom in Boyo Division, Finnian was a journalist and newspaper publisher who worked for several years in the North West Region.
Colleagues and family members have described him as an industrious journalist who contributed to impact journalism. Finnian leaves behind a wife and six children.
