The Catholic Church in Uganda is in sombre moods following the sad news of the death of Jinja Diocese Bishop Rt. Rev. Charles Martin Wamika
The Bishop passed away on Wednesday October 21, in Lubaga Hospital Kampala at around 4pm, according to the diocesan chancellor, Fr. Gerald Muto.
The diocese says the Bishop has been bedridden, but did not disclose the cause of his death.
Wamika had served Jinja Diocese for 17 years, since he was consecrated in 2008.
By Press time, the Diocese was yet to announce official funeral arrangements for Bishop Wamika. May His Soul Rest in Peace.
