UEDCL a power transmission company in uganda has confirmed power restoration in Mbale city after two days of prolonged power black out due to a fault at Mbale sub-station as a result of over flooding.
According to Jonan Kiiza the spokesperson for UEDCL,power in areas of Mbale city,Nakaloke,Budadiri,Bududa,Manafwa, Buwalasi,sironko Town council,Buyombo, Kacumbala and sironko district in General has been restored .”we want to confirm that the sub-station is energized and all feeders are powering out energy”Jonan said.
”On a special note,allow us to thank the leadership of these affected communities that have been very cooperative in ensuring that they cascade the most accurate information and updates on what has been transpiring on the side of the institution in these last two days”.Jonan added.
Following the power restoration,UEDCL has confirmed it’s commitment to ensuring reliable power supply to the community for social economic transformation.”UEDCL Management continues to emphasize it’s commitment to ensuring reliable power supply for social economic transformation”.Jonan said.
