Parrots UG | Airspace. Having successfully completed the A330-800 neo certification process with the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority, Uganda Airlineswill soon start on taking long international flights with Airbus A330-800.
In a statement issued by CAA management, the national carrier noted a promising progress in the process of obtaining traffic rights, foreign air operator permits, and landing approvals in the target destination.
According to CAA, the Airline has so already obtained landing slots at London Heathrow Airport in the United Kingdom and Dubai International Airport in the United Arab Emirates.
However, management did not disclose dates on which the operation to these destinations is expected to start, this website has learned that dates of will be announced soon.
Uganda has so far procured four regional CRJ900 bombardier jets and two Airbuses A330-800 neo since the national carrier was revived in August 2019.
