Uganda Journalists Association has reported that over 400 of her members in several dimensions of the country are affected by corona virus measured therefore in need of food relief.
The Association is calling on generous individuals of the public to give in donations to help in running out to the needy journalists.
“Meanwhile, UJA is still appealing for more food relief support/ donations to help to cater for the over 400 Journalists who are in need and have not yet received food relief yet across the country,” UJA reports.

UJA revealed this today when Ronald Kabuye, the Secretary for Information / PRO was handing over food relief to Mityana region & Mukono Journalists.
Relief food worth162 and 100Kgs were donated by the association today to Mityana region and Mukono journalists respectively. Mityana region comprises of Journalists from the districts of; Kasanda, Mpigi, Mubende and Mityana.
So far, UJA has donated food to over 471 journalists and seeks to reach out to other journalists country wide.
UJA is an umbrella that brings together all journalists in Uganda and plays among other functions emphasizing ofjournalism professional ethical codes of conducts.
Meanwhile, sections of the Public have already placed in their donations to the association. These include Hamid Kiggundu of Ham Enterprises, Amber Hearts Ambassador Moses Ssali aka Bebe Cool, Abubaker Lubowa of Dine with the fourth estate, Sylvia Namutebi alias Mama Fina and Musician Tuff B.
