PARROTS UG | SPORTS DESK: Former Uganda Cranes captain Dennis Onyango is set for a sensational return to the national team as the country prepares for 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Onyango, currently playing at South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns as a goal keeper is being rumoured to appear on coach Micho Sredojevic’s squad of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers set to kick start next month.
On April 12, Onyango announced his retirement from international football in what is alleged as protesting against FUFA president Moses Magogo’s weak administration.

The Champions League winner, and three-time Caf XI goalkeeper helped Uganda end a nearly four-decade absence from Afcon with a Gabon 2017 appearance.
He was also named African Player of 2016 (based in Africa), the only goalkeeper ever to win the accolade.
The return of former team coach, Micho Sredojevic is seemingly renewing Onyango’s first love for the Cranes.
The Cranes will play its first 2020 World Cup qualifier match against Kenya in Nairobibon September 2 and thereafter will play with Mali.
