The Ruhinda County MP Aspirant, Isaac Tayebwa Kanyubure has professed to defeat long serving politician Minister Otafiire in the forthcoming 2021 presidential and parliamentary elections.

Tayebwa who is contesting on an independent ticket said Minister Otafiire is politically aged to serve the interests of Mitooma people whom he has served for the last 3 decades.

“His 30 years in active politics is one of the ladders iam using to Climb.  He has done it all to the best of his ability. Its evident that he can not Move things of today. We are coming I’m to take charge of our own. I however thank Him so much for his time and the Leadership he has offered for the last Many Years,” he said.

Tayebwa made these remarks during an interview with Parrotsug reporter shortly after he was nominated for MP Ruhinda county Mitooma district.

He was nominated on Friday October 16th at Mitooma district Headquarters by the district electoral registrar Ms Nabukenya Teddy at 12:50pm.

During an interview, he expressed readiness to tussle for the county top seat revealing 8 points program “RUHINDA COUNTY DEVELOPMENT ROADMAP” which he hopes will improve livelihoods in Ruhinda.

He solemnly promised to improve on youth empowerment and skilling, agriculture, with focus on elders, women, associations and community groups, consideration of widows and orphans, environmental protection, community think tank.

Tayebwa will face off other four contestants who have been nominated for same seat. These includes:-  Maj Gen Kahinda Otafiire (NRM), Dr. Ben Twetegire (Indp), Alex mukirani (Indp), and Kahemba Babi (ANT)

As a away of building a strong political basement, Tayebwa stressed that a team of his campaigners is set to mobilise voters from all-rounds of the district to ensure victory in the 2021 elections.

He added that his campaign roadmap will commence on Tuesday with a number of the youth, marginalized women and youth attaining training on life skills like candle manufacturing, Car wash, bar / liquid soap, among others.
