Started on November 23, 2017 under the mentorship of Mr. Nsubuga Najib Ssekikubo then lecturer to founder, Leonard Kamugisha Akida at KIU Kansanga, Parrots Media started as a free blog site publishing via [https://theparrots08.blogspot.com] until 2020 after the outbreak of COVID-19 when the site obtained full website space.
Today, November 23, 2023, marks exactly 6 years since its initiation and Parrots Media is growing with steadfastness despite the challenges of online spaces in a developing country like Uganda.
This publication brings to you links to videos and text congratulatory messages by different parties.

He also called for a free (independent) media that is not put in the pockets of certain individuals to serve their interests than those of the public. According to him, the media has been used to expose dirty linen of some individuals in the name of defamation. He said Parrots Media will continue to advocate, protect and promote professionalism and media ethics, objective reporting and other journalistic principles.
