The Nakawa Chief Magistrate court has issued a warrant of arrest against Molly Katanga, wife to slain businessman Henry Katanga who was murdered in November last year at his home family Chwa II Road in Nakawa division.
This was after she failed to show up in court despite numerous summons to face trial on charges of Katanga’s murder.
The warrant of arrest was issued by the Nakawa Chief Magistrate, Elias Kakooza who said a medical reports provided by Molly Katanga’s lawyers did not adequately explain the extent of her injuries to the court.
It should be recalled that since the incident, the suspect (Molly Katanga) has been hospitalized at IHK Kampala due to alleged injury sustained during the shooting.

ordered the police to arrest Molly by February 12, 2024, Molly advising that she could apply for bail before the High Court based on her medical condition.
Molly Katanga has reportedly been hospitalized at IHK since November 2, 2023, for injuries she allegedly sustained on the day of her husband’s shooting.
At least two suspects Martha Nkwanzi Katanga and Patricia Kakwanza, both Katanga’s daughters have been committed to the High Court for their alleged involvement in their father’s murder.
