NUP’s Kasese LC5 Flag Bearer Gadi Mbayahi Passes On

The Bishop of West Ankole Diocese, Rev. Bishop Johnson Twinomujuni has described the former Bushenyi-Ishaka municipality member of parliament, now the late Hon. Gordon Arinda K alias CowBoy as a leader who preferred harmony to conflicts.

“✝️WHAT A LOSS! On behalf of the entire diocese and on my own and family I hereby express our sincere pain to the family, relatives and friends of the late Hon. Arinda Gordon. For a number of factors, this is a painful loss – for the whole of the Western region, and indeed the entire nation.”

Arinda passed on Sunday evening at around 6PM at Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital where he has been admitted on a short while. He according to reliable sources succumbed to the deadly corona virus.

He was the Member of Parliament representing the people of Bushenyi-Ishaka municipality to the 10th parliament until 2021 when he lost the election to NRM’s Derrick Kabuura.

“Gordon knew how to handle differences, as well as how to tame his personal challenges in order to keep peace. It was evident throughout his tenure that he preferred harmony to conflict.” Bishop Twinomujuni eulogised.

In his condolence message shared on social media, the West Ankole Diocese Bishop who has of recent owned fame because of his trending sicial media videos mostly preaching to the youth, revealed that the deceased has been a charismatic leader that practiced neutrality amidst conflicting interests.

Bishop Johnson Twinomujuni of West Ankole Diocese.

“I was personally impressed by how he behaved in the aftermath of his incumbency as our MP. He remained neutral amidst conflicting interests. He demonstrated ability to blend conflict and cooperation, which, in my view, makes him a rare politician that has gone down as a hero. Surely, there’s a lot good we can learn from his life and conduct.” Bishop Johnson eulogised.

Furthermore, the Bishop has hailed the deceased for his great contribution towards serving God and supporting church activities in the western region and Uganda at large.

“Nonetheless, we thank God for Hon. Arinda’s contribution as a leader and politician. He played a neat role across the sphere of human social relations, both in an extensive and limited way,” he said.

Using Biblical illusions from the Book of Prophet Isaiah 41:10, Twinomujuni consoled the bereaved, the church and the people of western Uganda to trust in God who is the cause of their joy in timez of trouble wishing Hon Arinda Gordon CowBoy an eternal repose.

“Ahandi, take heart! Let us look to God from whom our comforts comes. In joy and in trouble, He is with us. He tells us, “Do not fear for I’m with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand (Isa. 41:10).”

“You served God’s people. You didn’t forget His church and servants.  Go home. Rest in peace, dear Hon. Gordon Arinda,” the Bishop mourned.

Parrots UG has learned that the deceased father is also sickly but not for COVID-19.

By the time of compiling this story, no funeral arrangements had been communicated by the bereaved family.
