Last evening, the news alleging the sacking of Engineer Andrew Kitaka, the Acting Executive Director KCCA, his Deputy Samuel Sserumaga and three other officials made circulations on social media.
According to reliable sources who the Parrotsug talked to, Engineer Kitaka who has been acting as an ED was just transferred to head the Physical Planning Department at the Authority but not fired as earleirvalleged by social media posts.
Sources further revealed that there’s a letter purportedly written by the President proposing some individuals to be scrutinized ti head various positions and Departments at the Kampala Capital City Authority.
Among these is Ms DorothyKisaka who is currentky serving as governance advisor in the Office of the Prime Minister.
Dorothy is proposed to head KCCA as its new Executive Director replacing ENG Andrew Kitaka, the Acting ED.
Others proposed includes; Eng.David Luyimbazi Ssali as Deputy ED, Lord Mayor’s deputy Sarah Kanyike for Director Gender, Community Services and Grace Akullo for Human Resource and administration.
“We have used integrity hunting to identify the personsabove. With regards to all the other vacant positions, they should be filled by advertising, utilizing your system. You should do the interviewing for KCCA,” reads the part of the letter.
Ms Grace Akullo who has been named on the list is currently serving as the Human Resource Manager at the Ministry of Public service not AKULLO, a Police Officer at the CIID department as reported on social media.
ENG Andrew Kitaka has been Acting as ED KCCA since 2018 after the resignation of Jennifer Musisi. President Museveni has since then either deliberately or in deliberately refused to renew his contact as a full ED.
He is still the Acting ED of the Kampala City Council Authority.
