KAMPALA
Former Uganda Wildlife Conservation Education Centre (UWEC) Executive Director, Dr. James Musinguzi has been appointed new Executive Director Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA).
The appointment was announced by the minister of tourism, wildlife and antiquities, Hon. Tom Butime on Thursday.
Musinguzi replaces Sam Mwandha who is set to retire on March 31, 2025.
Musinguzi, a conservationist and wildlife conservation educator is also experienced in community conservation. He was recently appointed Director Community Conservation and Ex Situ Wildlife Services following the merger of UWA and UWEC.
His appointment to UWA ED will effect on April 1.
