Police in Kagadi are holding a 39years-old father for allegedly murdering his own daughter and dumped her body in a forest.
The suspect is identified as one Jackson Mbabazi 39, a resident of Kinyansi, Nyamwezi parish, Mabira subcounty, Kyenjonjo district. He however ran to Kagadi since allegedly committed the crime.
Joseph Mugisha ,Mbabazi ‘s relative told the police that the suspect earlier told them he was taking his daughter to the hospital unfortunately she died along the way and he decided to leave the body in Forest.
Mbabazi however denied the allegations saying that the daughter died as he was talking her to the hospital for medication and therefore decided to hide the body in the forest and go to call for help.
The suspect led the team from Kagadi police station to the scene where they recovered the body roating. The police allowed the bereaved to bury the girl as investigations into the case are ongoing.
Neighbours who talked to Parrotsug revealed that Mbabazi divorced his wife three years ago and has been staying with his children as a sole bread winner.
Mrs Lilian Ruteraho, the RDC Kagadi district attributed the matter to domestic violence.
