A delegation of senior leaders led by the party President Eng. Patrick Oboi Amuriat, delivered the FDC’s contribution to the Katikiro of Busoga Kingdom, Mr. Joseph Muvawala, at Sheraton Hotel.
The FDC party president Amuriat said the FDC party remains steadfast in its commitment to preserving their cultural values, traditions, and heritage, with Busoga Kingdom as one of the numerous cherished traditions. He said as the party they extend their warmest wishes for a joyful and harmonious marriage to the Isebantu and Inebantu.
Today, we stand united with the People of Busoga Kingdom in supporting the Royal wedding (Embaga ya Mwenemu), said Amuriat.
The Katikiro of Busoga Kingdom, Dr Joseph Muvawala, acknowledged the FDC party for their respect for the kingdom’s rich cultural heritage, exemplified by their significant contribution to the forthcoming royal wedding.
“In our kingdom, culture holds profound emotional significance, evoking strong sentiments. It is the duty of both government and political parties to tap into these sentiments. The emotions we share today are deeply ingrained ” Muvawala said.
The Busoga Royal wedding is slated for November 18th at Jinja’s Bugembe Christ Cathedral, where Kyabazinga Wiliam Gabula Nadiope IV and Ms Jovia Mutesi are scheduled to exchange vows.
