Residents of Kampala Trading Centre also known as Hakiragiro, Nyakisgenyi sub-county Rubabo county in Rukungiri district are in shock after unknown fire flamed business kiosks destroying merchandise worth millions.
The tragic incident occured on Friday (January 12) afternoon hours and a number of wooden lock-ups, refrigerators and other merchandises have been destroyed, according to eye witnesses.
ASP Elly Maate, the police spokesperson for Kigezi region confirmed to the reports of the fire outbreak stating that no life was lost in the outbreak.
He notes that the police have started on inquiries into the matter.
