KAMPALA:
The Chief Magistrate Court in Makindye has on Tuesday afternoon sent on remand famous city business accountant Francis Onebe and his bodyguard, Oriekot Bonny, with the murder of Immaculate Asio, Onebe’s wife.
Immaculate Asio Onebe was reportedly abducted from her matrimonial home in Munyonyo in January, 2021 and had gone missing for the last seven months. Her decomposing corpse was recently discovered in a septic tank at her husband’s home.
Police preferred murder charges on the suspects and they were today arraigned before court for communication of their charges.
The prosecution side was led by State Attorney Lydia Nakato who appeared for the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Court chaired by the Chief Magistrate, Her Worship Sarah Basemera after communicating the charge remanded the duo to Kitalya prison until 30th September 2021.
