Hoima district Woman Members of Parliament contestant, Beatrice Owembabazi popularly known as Teacher Mummy is in a deep unconscious state caused by serious beatings by her political rival’s driver.
Its alleged that while in consultation meeting with voters in Kapaapi Sub-county, a yet to identify man attacked Owembabazi, her Political campaign manager and their driver and started fighting them.
The suspect is alleged to be a driver to Hon Harriet Busingye, the incumbent WMP Hoima district. He later on took on heels after noticing that Owembabazi was unconscious.
Owembabazi was badly beaten and she is currently bedridden at Edpa clinics in Hoima Town.
ASP Julius Hakiza Allan, confirmed the incident adding police has already launched a manhunt against the suspect.
