Uganda’s first son also the Commander of Land Forces, Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has scorned to his haters spreading false messages alleging his death that every time they fight him God blesses him the more.

Over the weekend, social media was awash with the news of President Museveni admission to German in critical conditions but this later turned to be false after he showed up at the launch of the World Health Summit Regional Meeting at Speke Resort Munyonyo, on Sunday.

Haters who had further alleged the president’s death in a blink turned the arrows to his son Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba with claims that he had contracted Covid-19 and was very ill at Nairobi hospital while others announced him dead.

“Comfrirmed!!! Col. Muhoozi Kainerugaba in a bad condition admitted to Nairobi Hospital for 3 days now.” Kirya Ug (@kirya_ug) posted on Twitter.

The news spread like wildfires in Uganda and bloggers in the neighbouring Kenya alleged the same.

However, on Monday June 28, cleared the air on his official Twitter account saying he was fit like filder laughing at nemesis.

“Some friends of mine like @kasujja told me that some enemies were declaring me dead, or very ill from Covid-19. I’m very well. This is the third time in my military career that enemies are claiming I’m dead. The funny thing is every time they do that Almighty God blesses me more.” Kainerugaba tweeted.

He noted, this is not the first time the people he termed as his ‘enemies’ have announced him ill or dead.

Before he (Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba) could come out to debunk the news announcing his death, Ugandan based BBC journalist, Allan Kasujja had reported that he spoke to the first son and was neither admitted at a hospital in Nairobi nor dead as declared by social media users.

“Yesterday I heard that Kainerugaba was either dead, about to die or at a hospital in Nairobi. Called him. No response. I woke up to 2 missed calls from him.

Kasujja said that in a phone call, Kainerugaba disclosed his preparedness to execute his new roles assigned to him by his father.

“I returned them. The man is busy preparing to take over his new responsibilities this week,” explained Kasujja

It should be noted that On Thursday the president appointed his biological son Kainerugaba to Commander of Land Forces in the appointments and transfers made in the UPDF.

Social media users who claimed the President was bedridden said he was appointing his son to prepare him for a succession.
