Linda Nabusayi has handed over office to the Newly appointed Senior Press Secretary to the President of Uganda Sandor Walusimbi.
On Sunday July 31, the deputy press secretary to the president, Farouk Kirunda announced that the president had appointed Walusimbi his senior press secretary replacing Nabusaayi
“I take the pleasure to congratulate my brother, Sandor Walusimbi, upon his appointment as the Senior Press Secretary to H. E the President. I have no doubt in your ability to deliver. I also thank my sister, Linda, for her service and wish her wonders in her new posting,” Kirunda said
On Friday, a hand over ceremony was held at the State House where Nabusayi officially handed over office.
Nabusayi assumed office in April 2021 replacing Innocent Don Wanyama after he was named CEO of the Vision Group.
Immediately after handing over instruments of service, Nabusayi took on her Twitter to describe her successor as a resourceful person.
“It has been an absolute honour & pleasure to serve @KagutaMuseveni State House and my country as Senior Press Secretary to the President of the Republic. I am proud to handover to a great resourceful colleague @sandorwalusimbi Thank you dear Countrymen and Women. #ServingTogether” Nabusayi tweeted
Sandor Walusimbi has been the Head of Communication at State House Anti-Corruption Unit.
He previously served as the head of corporate relations at the Uganda Breweries Limited, marketing manager East African Breweries Limited and also as thr the Public Relations Officer at Airtel Telecom.
Reports indicate that Nabusayi awaits another mega appointment
