Police in Kabale are investigating circumstances surrounding the death of an unidentified male adult who was beheaded by unknown assailants.
The deceased body was discovered inMakanga village, Butobere ward, Central division, Kabale municipality by Orikiriza James and his brothers while they were going to cut logs in an eucalyptus forest on on Wednesday September 21 at around 10am.
The trio reported the matter to the area LC1 chairperson, Wilson Tueinawe 49 yrs, who also informed the police.
Police arrived at the scene and documented it and with the help of a canine, they failed to discover the missing parts and the identify of the suspects.
“Police searched the body but no documents recovered for identification of the said deceased.” Maate said
The body was taken to Kabale hospital mortuary for postmortem.
He urged anybody missing his,/her dear one to visit the mortuary and identify the body.
A case of murder by unknown was registered with file reference number CRB 673/2022.
