Residents of Nyairongo village Kaseeta parish in Kabwooya sub-county, Kikuube district have been seen unpaid drama after one of their colleagues gave away his wife to an adulterer who he found sleeping with his wife.
The incident occured on Friday (August 19) when Donald Kakuru returned to home from work and found his wife having a love affair with another man in their matrimonial bed.
In order to end disputes caused by infidelity, Kakuru immediately called in local authorities and police to publicly seperate them as he handed over the wife to the adulterer.
“I had nothing to do but to officially hand over my wife I loved most to a man she loved. I caught her red handed and I surrendered her in a written agreement,” Kakuru narrated
Present was Chairperson lc1, OC Nyairongo police post and neighbors.
According to Kakuru, he had always heard it in rumours that his wife was cheating on him with the same man but always taken it lightly until yesterday when while he caught them red handed.
The couple had been married for 14yrs and are blessed with two girls.
“I couldn’t take the laws in my hands like others do and I call upon all married men to always be just to laws that govern us in the country and society at large, God can provide the best companion than living in un happy marriage of one party,” he added
The Nyairongo village Lc1 chairman, Mr Desire Nkurunziza confirmed the incident and commended Kakuru for not taking laws in his hands. The chairman called upon NGOs, government stakeholders to always recognize men like Kakuru, give them airtime to radio talkshows and community engagements to sensitize fellow men on domestic and gender based violence.
