Man on run after attempting to bury child alive

Police in Sironko district are searching for a man who attempted to bury his three-year-old son alive.

On Saturday, Simon Manake, 38, a resident of Mayiyi village Bukusege parish Busamaga Sub County in Sironko district showed a clean pair of heels from home on after he attempted to bury his 3-year-old child following a misunderstanding between him and the child’s mother, Tom Kidandi the LC I chairperson of Mayiyi village told reports.

According to Kidandi, local authorities had earlier on reconciled the couple but to their dismay, the suspect did not heal the grudges.

He went on and dug a grave later and tried to bury the minor alive. This prompting the wife to raise an alarm which attracted locals.

He however escaped before the neighbours arrived at home.

Manake known of alcohol abuse allegedly committed the act under the influence of alcohol, according to Moses Maduli, the Busamaga LCIII Chairperson

Police have already launched a manhunt for Manake on accusations of attempted murderFollow Us
