At least four more patients have recovered from deadly Ebola disease from October 2, the ministry of health has announced
Emmanuel Ainebyoona, the ministry spokesperson says that the first two recoveries were registered on September 30 and the other two on October 2.
He was addressing the media on Ebola updates at the MoH headquarters in Nakaseero Kampala on Tuesday
He noted that two of the recovered persons have offered to volunteer for the ministry to offer support fellow patients to recover from the disease.
During the media briefing, the MoH mouthpiece noted that six medical workers currently admitted at Fort Portal hospital are now in good health conditions.
“We have 43 people infected with Ebola, 23 are admitted and we are following up 882 contacts as of October 2, 2022,” Ainebyoona said.
A fortnight ago, the ministry of health declared Ebola outbreak in Madudu sub county , Mubende district and the disease has since been reported in other districts of Kagadi, Kasanda, Kyegegwa and Bunyangabu.
