The newly elected LCV chairperson for Kayunga District, Ffefeka Sserubugo has died.
The acting Mukono District Police Commander Hellen Kyomuhendo has told reports that Sserubugo’s body was this morning found by his relatives hanging on a tree near his home.
He is alleged to have committed suicide on Tuesday night.
There is a heavy police deployment at the deceased home as investigation into the matter are ongoing.
Sserubogo was voted the Kayunga district LCV chairperson in January on the National Unity Platform (NUP) ticket and was sworn in last month replacing Tom Sserwanga.
He had contested against Andrew Muwongo of the NRM party, Thomas Muwanga, Boniface Musisi, Fred Ssemyalo, Patrick SSempijja and Dan Wabomba an Independent.
