Its dark clouds in Kajjansi as one person is confirmed dead in a nasty accident which also involved Superintendent of Police Jane Nakityo on Entebbe Expressway.
According to sources from Kajjansi, a saloon car that severely overturned hit the road barricades leaving one person dead and other two in critical conditions.
One of the three car occupants – a woman, yet to be identified, died on the spot. A male adult and Superintendent JaneNakittyo sustained serious injuries and were rushed to Kisubi Hospital.
In other news, Police Constable Innocent Ayesigye, a Police Traffic Officer who was recently knocked by a speeding car in Namanve over the weekend has passed on earlier this day.
Patrick Onyango, the Police Spokesperson confirmed the blacksmith news on the death of PC Innocent Ayesigye.
According to Onyango, Ayesigye died at Rubaga hospital where he had been admitted for treatments since the evening of Sunday May 24th,2020 when he was knocked in Namanve along Kampala-Jinja highway.
Onyango further revealed that police later arrested two people including the driver of a vehicle suspectedly to have knocked their officer.
“The Driver of car Reg. No.UAS 597U and his Co-Driver have reported themselves to Seeta Police. They knocked our Officer on Sunday evening at Namanve and didn’t stop,” Mr Onyango said.
He said that the two shall be charged for reckless driving, causing death through reckless driving and failure to report accident although it was established that the two (driver & co driver) later reported the accident at Seeta Police station in Mukono.
