Dr. Kizza Besigye, the founding party president of FDC, spoke about Mulwana’s remarkable intelligence and his early appreciation of the struggle for the betterment of the country, despite his personal circumstances.
Besigye stressed that the best way to honor Mulwana and all those who have died during the struggle is to continue fighting for what they believed in.
FDC Party President and Lord Mayor of Kampala, Erias Lukwago, along with political activists and leaders from various political formations, gathered at FDC Offices-Katonga to pay tribute to the late Comrade Adam Mulwana. Mulwana, a political activist and artist known for his impactful campaign song “TOKA KWA BARA BARA,” passed away recently.
In his address to the mourners, Lukwago emphasized the invaluable contribution that Mulwana made to the struggle through his music. He expressed his belief that Mulwana’s legacy will live on and called on individuals to make sacrifices for the liberation struggle of the country without expecting immediate gratification or reward.
Prior to the gathering at FDC Offices-Katonga, Mulwana was also honored at a vigil held at the Uganda National Cultural Center (UNCC) the previous night. After the tribute and prayers, Mulwana was later laid to rest in Buziranduulu, Luweero District, this afternoon.
The loss of Comrade Adam Mulwana has deeply affected the political community, with leaders and activists coming together to recognize his important contribution to the struggle. His impactful campaign song and dedication to the betterment of the country will surely be remembered and serve as an inspiration to others in the ongoing fight for liberation.
