As traffic police and other security personnel continues to enforce COVID-19 guidelines across the country, a number of officers are at risk of losing their lives to the angry Ugandans who threaten and harm the officers’ lives.
Reports reaching Parrots UG indicate that a police officer was stabbed in the stomach by a suspect yesterday during an operation.
The Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson ASP Luke Owesigyire says, Police Constable Menjah Ismail while in his line of duty enforcing curfew, impounded a motorcycle at Kibuye roundabout.
The rider instead stabbed the cop several times in the stomach and chest near the lungs.
The motorcyclist was however quickly cornered by mob who beat him to death.
