The secretary, office of the President Haji Kakande Yunus has warned Resident District Commissioners (RDCs) against engaging staff who are not deployed by the office of the president.
In a letter dated 23rd September 2021 to all RDCs Haji Yunus revealed that for any staff to work in the office of the president he/she has to be vetted by the Internal Security Organization (ISO) to ensure that they are fit for the office.
“During the zoom meeting held with RDCs across the country, the minister for presidency emphasised on the issue of illegaly engaging non-staff not deployed by office of the President,” Haji Yunus revealed.
He also added that in the same meeting the minister insisted that this should stop henceforth to avoid compromising security and integrity of the office of the president.
“I direct you to stop engaging with non-staff to work in RDCs offices without any express permission from the secretary office of the President with immediate effect,” Hajji Yunus ordered.
“Disciplinary action shall be taken against any RDC who does not comply with this directive.” The secretary office of the president concluded.
