Police in Kazo district Southwestern Uganda have arrested a private security guard who allegedly shot and killed a Church of Ugand priest in Nkungu town.
Silva Ampiire, the Officer in Charge of Nkungu police station says the incident happened on Saturday evening at Kitura SACCO branch in Nkungu town, Nkungu sub-county, Kazo district.
The deceased is Rev. Patrick Mutatiina, 33, attached to Bushara C. O. U in Nshunga parish Nkungu SubCounty, Kazo.
A credible source says Mutatiina was passing by the village sacco, Kitura Sacco – Nkungu branch when a yet to identify private security guard shot and killed him on spot.
Police visited the crime scene and and found when the Reverend’s body had been taken to a nearby clinic.
The guard has been arrested and he is currently detained at Nkungu Police Station to help in investigations
