Residents in Sheema District have been urged to partake in festive Christmas celebrations alongside their families, rejoicing in the remembrance of the birth of Christ. The Christmas message from Nyakikongororo, the Woman Member of Parliament for Sheema District, emphasizes the importance of shunning domestic violence, a recurring issue in past years primarily caused by economic challenges.

 

In her message, Nyakikongororo emphasized understandin spouses who have been unable to provide for their families, considering the struggling economy in all sectors. She emphasized the need for forgiveness and understanding in such situations, urging families to come together and support one another during this festive season.

Nyakikongororo further appealed to the masses to refrain from overspending during Christmas and try to save part of their earnings for future expenses, particularly for school fees. She emphasized the importance of financial planning and wise spending, urging people to avoid putting unnecessary strain on their finances during the festive season.

Addressing concerns about security, Nyakikongororo advised people to be vigilant and safeguard their property, particularly livestock, as criminals often take advantage of the holiday season to commit thefts. She reminded the community to remain alert and take necessary precautions to protect their assets.

Switching gears to parenting, the honorable member of parliament highlighted the significance of Christmas as a time for parents to bond with their children and plan for the future. She emphasized the importance of family meetings during this period, where parents and children can discuss and formulate plans for the upcoming year, ensuring the development and well-being of the family unit.

Nyakikongororo also assured her her electrolates of her dedication to serving them and promised to work diligently with her fellow members of parliament to enact legislation that would benefit them and provide essential services to the community.

Nyakikongororo’s Christmas message to the residents of Sheema District focused on various aspects, including domestic harmony, fiscal responsibility, security, parenting, and development. Her appeal for unity, forgiveness, and planning during the festive season serves as a reminder of the importance of family and community in celebrating Christmas joyfully.
