Authorities and residents of Rubaare town council are concerned of over open dumping of foetuses at the stages of prenatal development from undistinguished places that are causing stench fuming in the area.

According to the town clerk Rubaare town council Mr Emmanuel Byamukama  said that since it is a public concern they will enforce their operations to fight the habit. He also said recently they fought against clinic operators littering the town with blunt objects including, needles, scissor, cutters among others but the habit was swept out.

He added that the culprits utilise the night chance to litter the environment in the absence of enforcing operations.

The health inspector Rubaare town council Mr Robert Muhirwe re-echoed the importance of enforcing operations to bar the culprits from the act. He noted that at Rubaare health centre IV facility, with miscarriage and placenta issues, they are incinerated in the placenta pit but attached  clinic operators about the open dumping of foetuses and self aborting individuals.

The authorities has set a stern warning to the culprits over the open dumping of foetuses in areas of the town whether individuals or clinics and hospitals operators to improvise with other means but not dumping them in open places either face charged.

According to LC I chairperson Rubaare cell II Mr Milton Ndeebesa who also doubles as chairperson of all LCs in Rubaare town council narrated to our reporter that it is true they are facing challenge of stench smell around Rubaare town council which are due to open dumping of foetuses after miscarriage and abortion.

He castigated about the proliferation of private clinics and hospitals in Rubaare town council as culmination of the poor practices.

He called upon the concerned authorities to take serious action over the burning issue, stressing that the situation of the stench smell is disrupting people mostly on the way, in hotels and in enjoyable places among others.
