At least three children of the same family have been confirmed dead after a jackfruit-like bomb exploded in Ssegalye Ssemutto Nkaseke District.
Acccording to reports, the explossions happened on Friday while the three juveniles were playing in their home compound.
One child died identied as Pathias Kiwuuwa, a physically handicapped child died on spot while two others identified as Micheal Kiyingi, 14 and another one only identified as Odongo died at the hospital moments later.
The deceased are all children of Mrs. Birungi, the Vice Chairperson Ssegalye LC1 in Ssemutto.
Eye witnesses say the suspected bomb exploded at the Verandar of Birungi’s house killing her children.
The Nakaseke North county MP Pauson Lutamaguzi Ssemakula has asked government to stop politicizing the bomb blasts but expediate the investigations and produce the terrorists they (gov’t) allege are behind the attacks.
Police and UPDF have coddoned the home where explosions took place and all people in the area have been advised to vacate the place
