Ugandan political activist through music and renown right hand man for opposition politician Col. Dr. Kizza Besigye (Rtd), Adam Mulwana is dead.
Known for his “Toka Kwa Balabala,” song that promoted Besigye’s political ambitions in Uganda in the 2016 general elections, Mulwana passed on today (Tuesday 13 February, 2023) in the morning at Doctor’s Hospital in Seguku, Entebbe, Wakiso district.
In 2023, Mulwana publicly disclosed his battle with liver complications. He revealed that after undergoing several medical examinations, it was discovered that he had been poisoned, resulting in severe damage to his liver.
Doctors assured him that it was not too late to save his life and he has been on medication until today when he breathed his last.
Till his last breath, Mulwana has remained a stronghold of the Forum for Democratic Change and Dr. Besigye’s close ally. His last public appearance at FDC events was in July last year (2023) during the party consultative meeting on the alleged dirty money that came into the party from unknown sources through SG Nandala Mafabi and Party president Patrick Oboi Amuriat. The meeting was convened by the rivalry Katonga group under Kampala Capital City Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago, Kira Municipality MP Hon. Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda and Dr. Kizza Besigye.
Mulwana is going to be buried tomorrow Wednesday 14th February, 2024 m, at his ancestral home in Buziranduulu, Luweero district. MHSRIP.
