A trailer driver has been confirmed dead after a trailer truck which he was driving overturned, fell on the head and it’s container squeezed him to death
The incident occured on Saturday August 6 at around 1000c at Katwe Wansi near Usafi market along Kampala-Kibuye Road.
ASP Faridah Nampiima, the PRO traffic and road safety directorate says the accident happened when a Motor vehicle Reg. No. KBT 597C/ZE 2295, a Mercedes Benz (trailer) while turning from Queens Way going to Kampala side had it’s trailer overturn, fell on the head and it’s container squeezed the driver killing him instantly.
She identified the driver as Mukulomba Jovan, 45, a Kenyan national.
Police from Katwe police sration arrived at the scene of the accident and the deceased body has been conveyed to Mulago KCCA mortuary for postmortem examination as investigations continue.
