KAMPALA
Transformer Cadres Association Uganda will host a conference on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on Monday January 15, the association reported.
The conference will be hosted by the association’s SACCO (TCAU SACCO) according to the SACCO’s spokesperson, Ambrose Byamugisha.
“Transformers cadres association Sacco will have a wonderful workshop on SDGs on Monday at Mulago Guest House the whole day,” he said
The conference will feature facilitators from SDGs advocates from Uganda such as Dr. Beatrice N Mikasa, Dr. Daisy Owomugasho and Dr. Allen Kabagenyi, the head of Population and Statistics at Makerere University. They will share among others an overview of SDGs, status of implementation of SDGs in Uganda and localisation of SDGs to the constituency level and communication strategy to constituents.
Dr. Abrode Kojo, international development expert from Ghana is expected to be the main discussants at the conference while Behavioral Science Prof. Otanga Rusoke, CEO Ambrosoli Consult Uganda Limited will give a message of goodwill.
TCAU SACCO spokesperson further explained that all National Resistance Movement (NRM) parliamentary cadres will attend the conference.
“All NRM parliamentary cadres countrywide are supposed to attend in person,” Hon Byamugisha said.
