Two male concubines have been arrested on allegations of murder of 75-year-old lover
The suspects are Kakooza Kerekensiyo and Suuna Silver. They allegedly murdered Maria Nakaweesi, 75, a resident of Nabugando village, Kitaasa parish in Rakai district.
Preliminary reports indicate that on October 4 at around 10pm, the victim was allegedly assaulted by Kakooza, her concubine and the following day, sandals belonging to her second concubine, Suuna were seen at her home.
When interrogated about the incident, the victim concealed what happened during the night.
The victim later died on October 7 at around 2PM as her son Yudah Kimbugwe was preparing to take her to hospital.
The police spokesperson, SCP Fred Enanga said the suspects were arrested and are in police custody pending court.
