By Ezrah Kashumbusha,
Uganda and Democratic Republic of Congo have commissioned a new Uganda Chancery building in Kinshasa DR Congo
The event which was officiated by the Minister for State for Foreign Affairs Hon. John Mulumba and the Ambassador Designate of Uganda to Republic of Uganda took place yesterday in Kishasa DR Congo.
This building is a symbol of a solid and enduring friendship between Uganda and DR Congo. It is our testimony to our shared history” Mulimba said in his Address.
The Minister thanked the Government of DR Congo for the support in making the project a reality adding that such commitments build the future for the two countries and our two peoples.
“ After the two countries decided to normalise the diplomatic relations in 2007, the chancery building of Uganda Kinshasa was almost dilapidated. However the Government of Uganda decided to demolish the previous structure and build a new and modern building which we are putting into service today” Mulimba said
The construction project spanned from june 2021 to the end of August of this year. I would like to thank the Government of Uganda for availing the necessary resources for this project to be completed.
