MBARARA
University students have been urged to look beyond academics and develop habits of saving money and other resources to secure a successful future.
This call was made during the NSSF Career Expo held yesterday at Bishop Stuart University in Mbarara.
Hillary Nuwamanya Mukongo, the National Coordinator of the NSSF Career Expo, explained that many students graduate without a clear understanding of their field of study or how to apply it in the real world. He said this gap inspired the launch of the national expo to help enlighten and guide students.
He noted that this year’s expo is running under the theme “Financial Literacy,” with a strong emphasis on saving and smart money management.
Speaking on behalf of the students, Muhandiki Allan, the University Guild Speaker, thanked NSSF and its partners—ABSA Bank and the Private Sector Foundation Uganda—for educating students and creating valuable connections through the expo.
